for the input. As for Rage's ECU, it is hard to say what exactly was going on there. There are a few things that could have happened that wouldn't have been as a result of the ECU. I dont even know who "Rage" is, much less if it was actually an ECU I did or one that Z1 copied/did. The EPROM could have been an issue if it wasn't properly seated. The EPROM could have been defective. The main harness connector, when it is installed, must be fully seated else some of the coil pack terminals wont get a signal. You have to literally "push" the connector down on the ends as it is a long plastic connector that bows when you tighten down the locking screw located in the cetner of the connector. There are many reasons that there was an issue. I know that when I upgrade an ECU here, it is tested before it is upgraded (to make sure someone didn't send me a bum ECU), and then it is retested after it is upgraded. Some people feel compelled to open the ECUs up just to look at them, and there is chance of electrostatic damage, or maybe they even go as far as to pull the chip out to look at it or copy it, and then accidentally install it backwards, which damages the chip. I have had a few of those cases happen.
